The 31-year-old blonde beauty is in town to urge Congress to pass the Shark Conservation Act, which hopes to protect sharks from the cruel practice of shark finning (cutting off sharks’ fins and throwing the sharks back in the water, often while still alive). Congress banned this practice in 2000, but enforcement is complex and there is room for cheating. This legislation closes a loophole that currently permits a vessel to transport fins obtained illegally as long as the sharks were not finned aboard that vessel. |

The production is currently on Broadway with a 12-week run at the Broadhurst. "Someone once told me that you don't play Hamlet—Hamlet plays you," says Jude. Kevin and Hilary Duff, who also has been guest-starring on Gossip Girl, will later be teaming up to play the infamous 1930s bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde in the the indie drama, The Story of Bonnie and Clyde. Hilary has told ET Canada, “Kevin’s great and he's Canadian! We’re both so excited to be working on this project. It's gonna be really, really fun and unique. He was filming a movie [when I called and] he's like, ‘I'm hanging in a gondola but I'm really excited for Bonnie & Clyde‘.” |

| DJ AM’s Death = Accidental Drug Overdose Posted: 29 Sep 2009 09:24 AM PDT  DJ AM’s death was an accidental drug overdose, according to the New York City medical examiner’s office. The lethal cocktail of drugs in the 36-year-old included cocaine, oxycodone, hydrocodone (Vicodin), Ativan, Klonopin, Xanax, Benadryl and Levamisole (a drug used to cut cocaine with). AM, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, and Blink 182’s Travis Barker had been coping with being the only survivors of a small plane crash in South Carolina last September. |

The show will be relaunched on November 2nd under the new title Kate Plus 8. The program now include a deeper focus on Kate's journey as a single mother. TLC will continue its exclusive relationship with Jon and he will continue to appear on the show, but on a less regular basis. “Given the recent changes in the family dynamics, it only makes sense for us to refresh and recalibrate the program to keep pace with the family. The family has evolved and we are attempting to evolve with it; we feel that Kate's journey really resonates with our viewers. Additionally the network is in development on a Kate project for 2010" says Eileen O'Neill, President and GM, TLC. Here are some select quotes from the 25-year-old Mrs. Ryan Reynolds: On body image: "There was this rumor mill cranking out stories that I had lost 14 pounds—I could never lose 14 pounds.… I hate seeing these ridiculous articles where [tabloids] guess someone's weight.… I can't look at somebody who is 6 feet tall and 120 pounds and say, I'm going to get that body.
